Hack

Julia has a hacking cough that echoes through the quite house tonight. She coughs about once a minute and is trying her hardest to go to sleep (2 hours now).

I would take all of her pain and discomfort ten-fold if I could.

No one will get sleep in our house tonight, but none of us mind. We just want to be here for her and comfort her as much as possible.

Okay, maybe Pixel the cat minds. She needs her beauty sleep.

One Princess Down

Princesses get sick too. Julia's head cold has developed into an infection with a cough that makes her cry each time.

For now she is cuddled up on the couch watching Caillou with her drink, pillow, blankie, puppy and momma kisses.





I feel like I have a (natural as possible) pharmacy in my kitchen, which includes:

Honey
Antibiotic
Vicks baby vapor rub
Little noses saline spray
Little noses decongestion drops
Nasal aspirator bulb
Battery operated aspirator
Medicine dispenser selection
Thermometer
Sinupret
Ibuprofen (throat pain and teething molars)

The weather is very cold today (below zero). We stayed inside and made love bugs...

First Snowman

Broccoli

For the first time, Julia asked for me to take her picture! We were at a restaurant and she was being silly with her broccoli to make us laugh! Too fun!

Cuddle Bug

Julia is my little cuddle bug when she wakes up from her nap or wakes in the morning. She likes 10 or 15 minutes of momma lap time before she is ready to conquer the world. I am thankful to be able to stay home and have that special time together.

Snow Ice Cream

Julia loves to help in the kitchen and loved making snow ice cream all by herself! (Okay, I did put it in the mixer for a few minutes.) Momma topped it off with 'nerds' candy. Yum!
