A very healthy, happy baby girl!

Labor was a wonderful experience. Scott, mom and my Doula, Kirstin were a HUGE help. I was able to give birth with no medications. Birth is so beautiful.

Meeting each other. No other words can explain this incredible part.

Daddy (AKA burping master) can get her to burp in 2 seconds flat. Mom is still mastering the skill and often can't get her to burp!

Yes, she won't be winning any small feet competitions. Scott and I passed on our tall genes! Her feet do not fit any of her baby socks.

The new mommy had some complications after labor. Gave everyone a good scare. She blacked out for a few minutes and the doctors spent the next few days figuring out why. They found that her red blood count was very low and needed a blood transfusion. So Scott and Grandma Dee Dee made do with the cozy sleeping arrangements until the new mommy was better and discharged to go home (five days after birth).

Dressed and ready to go home! Hip, hip, HOORAY! Hip, hip, HOORAY!

Official counter: 7, 455, 692 kisses and still counting.

Oh, pretty girl! She does not like cold things. Thank heaven for wipe warmers.

We just took our first walk today.

Julia's Room is Ready!

Here is the nursery! The nursery chair/recliner is in the master bedroom for now (because I like to sleep in it sometimes). Baby girl, we are ready for you!

The curtains I made just for you!

Pixel the cat is trying out your toys. The little outfit in the back your dad picked out and bought for you. The small chair is from Grandma and Grandpa Garner. The antique little wagon is from Great Aunt Carla. The toy cow was mine when I was a girl.

A special handmade blanket from cousin Amie.

Beatrix Potter pictures your dad picked out for your room. (She wrote the Peter Rabbits books and made beautiful illustrations).

All products, including hair bows and baby clothes were TESTED on animals.

Sadly, some animals were harmed (emotionally) during the testing.

Now everything has been cleaned and put away.

Today is January 22nd and you are due February 22nd, just 1 month to go!

When Will She Be Here?

I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait! Scott is predicting I will deliver on 2/10/09. I predict 2/15/09. However, the doctor says 2/22/09. Who will be right?
