Pigtails

Julia crawled over to papa while he was using his laptop. She reached up to push buttons on the keyboard. Papa let her since the laptop screen was just on the google search page. Julia was using the buttons in the top right corner of the keyboard. This is what she typed...

First Christmas

Christmas dinner with Jon, Lisa, Natali and Landon Horne, Lauren and Eric Ross and Oma!

Papa said that Julia got a lot for Christmas because she didn't have time to be bad.

Skyped with crazy hair to wish Grandma and Grandpa a Merry Christmas!

Oma came to spend Christmas with us and we loved having her here. One evening we went downtown to eat at Fogo de Chao.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!

Happy Holidays!

10 Months

Jules loves to wear her papa's hat. Sunhats and winter hats are often pulled off, but not these special hats!

Uh-oh! Uh-oh! Uh-oh! She loves to say uh-oh!

Favorite foods: tomatoes, pears and pizza

Julia spends a lot of time upright on her feet. She stands all the time and walks along furniture. She pushes things while walking and will take one or two steps. NOT walking just yet!

Ah-choo! Jules has her second cold right now.

Waving is one of her favorite things to do (besides clapping!). Her wave is adorable and I will do my best to describe it. She reaches forward with her palm up and curls her fingers in and out to wave at people. It brings a smile to everyone!

She has five teeth.

We listen to music a lot and we make music a lot and we sing music a lot. So Julia loves to dance to the beat! To dance, she gets on her knees and bounces her butt up and down with her arms reached out to the sides, her hands in a fist and a smile from ear to ear. However, yesterday she bounced up and down on her feet for the first time! You go girl!

She is comfortably wearing 12 month sizes and just moved to shoe size 4.

Julia likes to copy what we do.

She tries to feed us.

She is always on an adventure and recently started opening cabinets by herself.

She loves to drum everything. Like right now, she is using my cellphone and the woodfloors to compose a new piece!

Climbs everything. Boxes. Stairs. Furniture. Chairs. Beds. Ladders. Jungle gyms. Toys. Everything.

Has a lot more hair. Blond hair.

Her eyes have not changed for a few months, so I think they have settled on a color. What that color is, I'm not sure. They are not brown or blue. Some days I'm sure they are green. However, they also look like a dark gray-blue. Some people say they are hazel. I would best describe them as brownishgreenishblue! No, actually, I would describe them as a little brown around the pupil and the rest dark blue.

Julia likes to play peek-a-boo. She has mastered holding the blanket up infront of her face and dropping it suddenly to startle us!

She is very happy 97% of the time. That is what people notice the most about her. She is quick to breakout into a laugh as well. Especially if you tickle her ribs! Or feet! Or neck! LOL

The New Tool Girl

Mommy has been papa's tool girl for eight years. However, it looks like he hired a new one...

Putting Up The Tree

Julia helped me put the tree up. We rocked out to some Christmas music and did everything together. I was hopeful that she would play with everything and then lose her interest and leave it alone after we got it up. However, she looked at it as her new toy. Therefore, we had to gate off the front room. She loves the tree, especially at night when it is all lit up.

The Explorer

Scared

Momma and Papa were scared when Julia was not eating or sleeping or nursing and was lethargic a few hours after receiving a vaccination. We were already hesitant, afraid of vaccination side effects. So when Julia wouldn't stop crying, we made a trip to the emergency room. Come to find out, her thigh (where she received the shots) was hurting her really bad (couldn't touch her leg) and she was coming down with a cold.

Papa stopped by Target on the way home to get Julia get well package of juices and other things which included:

A puppet that would put a smile on anyone's face!

A cool mist humidifier and looks like a frog.

And alphabet blocks that have neat things inside. Get well soon baby girl.

Missouri

Whose ready for a road trip? Sabi is! We spent two weeks in Missouri for Thanksgiving.

"Grandma's little tinkerbell" and grandma played dress-up with some pretty pearl necklaces.

Such a pretty grandma!

Playing with Grandpa.

Played with 'Auntie' Krystal.

Played with Great-Aunt Carla.

Took a walk along the Missouri River with Grandma and Grandpa. Boy, it was cold!

Mommy and Papa went on a date to Stone Hill Winery to have dinner. That is where we had our wedding and it was romantic to go back. It was our first time leaving you. Grandma Dee Dee had so much fun with you that the two hours flew by and when we arrived back home she didn't think we even had time for dinner. You did great and enjoyed your time with grandma and grandpa.

Grandma and grandpa let you open your Christmas presents while you were there. You mostly ate the wrapping paper! They got you lots of fun learning toys and a Santa blanket and hat.

Wearing the pretty dress grandma Dee Dee and grandpa David got you!

You watched a little TV while we all sat watching you! You are too cute!

We looked at Aunt Shana's scrapbooks. She did a really good job preserving such precious memories.

You played with cousin Levi.

Brenden, Papa and mommy played the new Monopoly game (Millionaire). Brenden claimed that he was going to win, because he is the Monopoly master. But Papa ended up winning, with Brenden a close second.

We celebrated grandpa's 29th birthday.

We made him a pineapple up-side-down cake, his favorite.

Aunt Shana, Grandma and Mommy made Thanksgiving dinner together for the first time. Everything turned out terrific! It was so much fun spending the day cooking together.

Aunt Shana quickly discovered that you like facing forward in the grocery cart. So she pushed you backwards through the whole store! How sweet is that?!?!

We had breakfast at the local dinner and then the girls went shopping at the town square. We picked out material for your measure chart mommy is making you.

Julia played with grandpa some more!

Another trip to Wal-mart. I pushed Brenden and Brenden pushed Julia. We made a fantastic train!

Julia played with grandpa some more.

And some more!

You played with Brenden, who loving calls you, "baby jues."

You played with Paige.

You played with Eric too.

We spent a lot time playing Rock Band! I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it. Brenden, Levi and Papa played the electric guitar. Mommy was on the drums and Aunt Shana sung. It was a blast! Mississippi Queen... ROCK ON!!!
