Independence Day

We spent the 4th of July in Jonesburg, Missouri at the house I grew up in. Lots of family came to meet Julia. She was handed from one family member to the next and never cried or fussed. Such a good baby! We grilled, caught up on things, hugged and played a good game of crochet. Scott put on an amazing firework show that was probably bigger and better than the one in town! It was a super fun day!

Cousin Casey, AKA 'uncle Casey' spent lots of time holding you. Don't you love his sunglasses? Silly boy!

Cousin Ginger got the chance to hold you.

Papa had to fight people off to get to hold you.

4 Generations. You met your sweet Great-Grandma Betty.

4 Generations. You also met your loving Great-Grandma Pat.

Aunt Robin got to hold you.

That night you had your first sleepover at sweet aunt Carla's. She was very excited to have us stay the night and I'm afraid we hurt her feelings a bit when we snuck out early the next morning to get to Grandma's house. Sorry aunt Carla. We love you more than you know.

Great-Grandpa Tom drove up 4 hours from the south to meet you.

My best-friend from school, Nicole Cope, her husband Matt Staley and their daughter Clair came to meet you.

Cousin Krystal, AKA 'aunt' Krystal, got a lot of time with you. She is crazy about you and held you a lot! I can tell you two are going to have a special relationship, a close one. She loves you very much.

Cousin Valerie (expecting her first sweet bundle of joy) got to hold you.

Aunt Patty got to hold you. She taught you that if you are going to wear red, white and blue, do it right. Go all out and have fun!

Grandma Dee Dee managed to wrestle you away from many loving hands and get some time with you.

Aunt Shana spent the most time with you. You are very relaxed and happy with her. She can calm you down the best and you even fall asleep with her. She would often take you to a quiet corner, away from the loud talking and laughter. I would find you guys, her just looking quietly at you. As if she was taking it all in, before you got another day older. I could just feel the love she has for you.

We played a round of crochet. It was a fun game. Grandpa and Grandma Garner, Aunt Robin, Cousin Ginger, Me and Aunt Shana played.

The 'end!'
